Shelter: Overcoming Abuse

Superwomen share their stories! Project Update!

Shelter is a Big Lottery Culture For All funded project, where women, who have overcome domestic and sexual abuse, are participating in a series of OCN accredited workshops in Podcast Production and Personal Success & Well Being. These workshops are being delivered by two of our newest facilitators: Mirenda Rosenberg (pictured above) and Pamela Brown.

Workshop activity has developed communication, group participation, fostered solidarity and combated feelings of isolation. The participants have graciously shared their experiences while writing, recording and producing a series of podcasts, which will be broadcast on Bounce Culture Radio later in 2016. The participants have now visited St Cecilia's College (see gallery) and will soon visit St Mary's College to record a panel discussion, where they will be able to reflect on their own stories and the positive impact the project has had on their lives.
